The Burn

Trade many owls
for one that earns like many

Burning does not throw your share away. It moves the weight of every owl you burn into one owl you keep, and adds a bonus on top. You end up holding fewer birds that earn more than the pile you started with.

Tier 0, Owl

This assumes the owls you burn are plain. If you burn owls that already carry weight, all of that weight moves across too, so the result is only ever better than what you see here.

The tiers

Every owl you burn makes one owl stronger

When you burn, you nominate one owl you are keeping. All the weight from the burned owls moves into it, plus a bonus. That owl climbs the tiers and earns like the pile it replaced.

Weight is a pure function of what an owl has absorbed. An owl that has taken in N others carries 1 + N + 0.25N + N squared over 400. That last term is what rewards concentration: it grows faster than the burns themselves, so pouring everything into one bird always beats spreading the same burns over several.
Concentration always wins, and that is provable. Split 108 burns across two owls, 10 into one and 98 into the other, and you hold 161.26 weight between them. Pour all 109 into a single bird instead and it carries 166.95 on its own. Same burns, more weight, and one owl that outranks anything the splitter holds.
Merging tiered owls loses nothing. Every point of both carries across. A Ghost burned into a Raider brings its full weight with it, whatever the order, whatever the sizes. The only number that ever moves in the collection total is the bonus.
And it cannot be farmed. Weight depends only on how many owls a bird has absorbed in total, never on the order of the burns or how many transactions you split them across. There is no loop that manufactures weight.

Send some to the fire

Connect your wallet to see your flock and pick which owls go into the fire.

1
Claim what your owls are holdingRewards live on the token. The contract will not burn an owl that still has ETH attached, in any pool.
2
Approve the burn portalOne signature, once. It lets the portal take exactly the owls you picked and destroy them in a single transaction.
3
BurnGone in one transaction, and the weight lands on your keeper in the same block.

Burning is permanent. Your owls are destroyed on chain and nobody can bring them back, including us.

Questions people actually ask

I hold 368 owls. What happens if I burn 300?

One of your owls becomes a 601x Phantom and your share of every royalty climbs by roughly seventy six percent, while you walk away holding 68 NFTs instead of 368. Use the calculator above with your own numbers.

Why would I destroy something I paid for?

Because you are not destroying the value, you are concentrating it. The weight moves into an owl you keep, with a bonus on top. You trade a wide, thin position for a narrow, heavy one, and the heavy one earns more than the wide one did.

Can I choose which owl to keep?

Yes, every time. Pick your favourite, or the rarest, or whichever you like. All the weight lands on that one, and you can pick a different keeper on your next burn.

What if I merge two owls that both have tiers?

Every point from both survives. There is no penalty for combining tiers and no rounding against you, whatever the order or the sizes involved.

Does the tier stay if I sell the owl?

Yes. Weight lives on the token, exactly like rewards do, which is what makes a heavy owl worth something on the secondary market.

Can a tier ever go down?

No. Weight only ever increases. Nothing anyone does, including us, can reduce an owl's tier once it is earned.

Can I accidentally burn every owl I own?

No. Every burn needs a bird you are keeping to receive the weight, and it cannot be one of the birds being burned. The most extreme outcome available is holding one very heavy owl.

Do I lose the ETH sitting on the owls I burn?

No. The contract refuses to burn any owl that still holds unclaimed rewards, in any pool. You claim first, it lands in your wallet, then the burn becomes possible.

Is burning always open?

No, it runs in windows. The status at the top of this page is read from the contract, not from this website, so it is always the truth.

Can the team burn my owls or take my tier?

No. The portal checks that you own every token in the batch and that you are the one calling it.
